Korean Hangman — learn Hangul one letter at a time

Korean Hangman is a free browser game for learning Hangul (한글), the Korean alphabet. A Korean word is hidden on the board. You tap Korean consonants (자음) and vowels (모음) on the on-screen keyboard one at a time; every letter that is in the word appears in its place, and every letter that is not costs one wrong guess. You can make up to six wrong guesses before the round is lost.

What you practice

• Recognizing the Hangul consonants and vowels and how they combine into syllable blocks
• Hearing each letter: tapping a letter plays its sound, and the Hint button plays the whole word spoken by a native Korean speaker
• 181 everyday Korean words with their English meanings, in six categories: animals (곰 bear, 말 horse), body, fashion, fruits, home and nature
