How Much Is It in Korean? — 얼마예요?

Korean Price Master is a free browser game for practicing how to say prices in Korean. A customer walks up to your counter and orders a few things — 저기요~ 김밥하고 우유 다 해서 얼마예요? You tap each item to scan it, hear its price, add the prices up, and say the total out loud into your microphone: 오천사백 원입니다. Speech recognition checks your answer right away.

What you practice

  • Sino-Korean numbers and money units: 백 (100), 천 (1,000), 만 (10,000), 십만 (100,000) and the counter 원
  • Asking about prices: 얼마예요? · 다 해서 얼마예요? · 전부 얼마예요? · 모두 합해서 얼마예요?
  • Answering like a shop clerk: …원입니다
  • Everyday shopping words: 사탕, 우유, 김밥, 도시락, 티셔츠, 운동화, 키보드, 노트북 and more

Four shops, one for each place value

Start at the candy shop with hundreds (백), move to the convenience store for thousands (천), then the clothing store for ten-thousands (만), and finish at the electronics store with hundred-thousands (십만). Each shop has six customers and three hearts, and every price is spoken by a native Korean speaker.

No sign-up, no download — it runs in the browser on phone and desktop.
